Ron Michael Meneo
Ron Michael Meneo is the Managing Partner of the Firm's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Device Litigation Group. He is a principal organizer of the Fen-Phen and PPA Practice Groups, directly managing the attorneys and paralegals who work within both Groups. Ron is directly involved in the representation of the Firm's Fen-Phen Clients - overseeing the preparation, submission and prosecution of their claims under the National Diet Drug Settlement. He also directly works on all aspects of the Firm's PPA litigation, brought on behalf of its clients.
With over 20 years of diverse experience in many areas of law, Ron brings a unique blend of knowledge, perspective, insight and organizational skills to the Firm. His experience in corporate, transactional and commercial law and litigation support the Firm's efforts against large, domestic and multinational manufacturers whose products have injured our clients. His broad-based legal knowledge compliments many of the Firm's areas of practice.
Ron earned his undergraduate degree at Fairfield University and his law degree (cum laude) at Western New England School of Law. He also earned a Masters of Law degree from Boston University. He is licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts and authorized to practice before the United States District Court for Connecticut, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Claims. He is an Adjunct Faculty member in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Business at Southern Connecticut State University and has published and served as a Contributing Editor in The Journal of Individual Taxation. He has also published in The Depaul Business Law Journal. In August 2001, Ron earned high praise as an invited speaker at the Mealey's Phenylpropanolamine Conference in San Diego. His review of pertinent FDA documents and presentation of the chronology of the strategic events, meetings and lobbying by the PPA-pharmaceuticals industry received the highest rating for Overall Quality.
Ron also serves on the Legal Committee for USA Triathlon, the national governing body for the sports of triathlon and duathlon. He has also served for 18 consecutive years on a local municipality's Board of Assessment Appeals and is personally involved in the production of multisport races that benefit local and national charities including The Myelin Project. Ron, his spouse, Jackie and their two children, Kimberly and Carrie Anne reside in Hamden, Connecticut.
