Currently, mesothelioma annually kills about 3,000 - 4,000 people in the United States with numbers expected to increase in coming years. In total, hundreds of thousands of people may have had their health affected by what has been called the 'asbestos epidemic'. ELSS has identified members of unions from the following trades as people at risk for asbestos exposure and for developing asbestos related diseases.
