Available Position - Asbestos Attorney

Nationally recognized law firm of Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, LLC. is seeking an associate for our New Haven office. Competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of prior litigation experience and will be responsible for working with partners and other lawyers on the investigation and work-up of asbestos cases. Attorney must have strong research and writing abilities. ELS&M has an extremely active asbestos docket and is looking for a new associate ready to take on substantive work immediately, including research, writing, client contact, court appearances and oral argument.   • Assist with all aspects of case management and work-up from intake to trial

Available Position - Asbestos Paralegal

Nationally recognized law firm of Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, LLC. is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant in our New Haven office. This job involves working with lawyers who are preparing cases on behalf of these cancer victims for trial. As a paralegal/legal assistant you will work directly with the lawyers, clients, and health care providers of the clients.

Location: New Haven, CT

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing legal documents and preparing client to testify at his or her deposition under lawyer supervision
  • Responsible for assisting lawyers depositions being taken and view court proceedings involving the cases on which you will be working

Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills and be detail oriented
  • Effective communication (written and oral) skills and listening skills
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and meet critical deadlines
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Applications

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a very flexible work schedule, a background in legal processes and/or medical care (and/or ability to learn key legal nuances), and a passion for client service.

Location: New Haven, CT, New York, NY (ability to work from home)

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential clients through various outreach methods
  • Potentially conduct presentations and meetings to explain services and benefits
  • Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the firm
  • Time sensitive work(flexibility required – compensated appropriately)
