The Trustee of the APG Asbestos Trust notified all claimants and claimants’ counsel that the payment percentage will increase from 5.3% to 6.0% effective April 13, 2026. The Trust was established to handle claims from products associated with A.P. Green Industries.

Section 4.2 of the Trust Distribution Procedures allows the Trustee to adjust the payment percentage to reflect updated projections about claims, available assets, and future costs to ensure fair compensation across all claimants.

Claimants who were previously paid at a lower percentage may receive supplemental payments equal to the difference between what was already paid and what would have been paid under the new, higher percentage, provided the additional amount is at least $100.

A.P. Green Industries manufactured asbestos-containing refractory products such as cement products, firebrick, and adhesives, which exposed workers to asbestos and increased the risk of developing mesothelioma.
