Effective Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the Trustees of the Manville Trust announced a payment percentage increase from 5.1% to 5.6%. The Trust was established to handle claims related to asbestos exposure from Johns Manville products.

The Trustees adjust the payment percentage to reflect updated projections about claims, available assets, and future costs to ensure fair compensation to all claimants.

Claimants who were previously paid at a lower percentage may receive a supplemental payment that equals the difference between the amount they already received and the amount they would have received under the new, higher percentage.

Johns Manville manufactured and sold asbestos-containing products, including insulation, roofing, siding, cement, and other building materials used in homes, schools, and industrial settings. These products exposed workers to asbestos and increased the risk of developing mesothelioma.
