The combined trial team of Early Lucarelli Sweeney & Meisenkothen and Waters Kraus & Paul won a record-high mesothelioma verdict in Connecticut. A Bridgeport jury returned a verdict in favor of John and Kathleen Peckham for $20,000,000 in compensatory damages with an additional award of punitive damages to be determined at a later date. The two defendants - Vanderbilt Minerals and DAP, Inc. - were each found liable for equal 50% shares. Mr. Peckham was exposed to asbestos in the 1960s while working with DAP “33” window glazing, which contained chrysotile asbestos and asbestos-contaminated talc.
