Attorney Doughty obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in 2017, having double majored in Political Science and Environmental Studies. She graduated from Vermont Law School in 2020. During law school, she served as a Student Clinician with the Veterans Legal Assistance Program of Vermont, where she assisted the local veteran population in obtaining benefits. Additionally, she served on the Senior Editorial Board of the Vermont Law Review.

After graduating from Vermont Law School, Attorney Doughty served as a Research Clerk for the Civil Division of the Connecticut Superior Court, where she assisted the judiciary by performing legal research and writing on a wide variety of matters postured on the civil docket. Prior to joining Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, Attorney Doughty worked at a Connecticut law firm focusing on workers’ compensation and civil litigation. There, she was responsible for assisting with the firm’s motion practice, including performing research for, writing, and arguing motions in Superior Court. She additionally litigated workers’ compensation cases throughout the state, with focus on cases of repetitive trauma and occupational diseases, including compensation claims related to asbestos exposure.

Attorney Doughty joined Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen to focus her practice on assisting clients who have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. At Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney & Meisenkothen, Attorney Doughty focuses her work on New York and Connecticut asbestos litigation practice and devotes a large portion of her practice to researching and writing legal briefs on issues that affect clients. She is licensed to practice law in Connecticut, New York and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Connecticut Bar Association and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
